To err is human but will my body forgive?

Like the nuns taught us in first grade when we prepared for our First Confession …  bless me Father for I have sinned.

I have gone 16 days on this diet totally by the book. My husband an innocent food bystander in this haze of no carb, no alcohol existence. So I thought I would make him his favorite lemon blueberry cake…… from scratch. It was all going so well. I was chewing gum to insure I wouldn’t be tempted  to cheat when in a split second of time….I licked my finger and it was over.  I felt like a parched athlete after that first swill of cold water.

Please don’t judge but I licked that old spatula to the bare wood.

The smell of that cake lingers in the house.  Butter. Lemon. Vanilla. Dear God I have to leave. I am opening the windows and going to zumba.

Tomorrow is another day.

About Me

KarenHello and welcome.
I am often asked, “What is Pasta on the Floor?”
Pasta on the Floor is different for everyone. It is a recipe that tells a story and inspires them to try something new. For others, stories of family, joy, loss, and hope engage with them. This brings me a great deal of happiness. I do not take myself too seriously, so be forewarned the subject matter is open and truthful. In many ways, Pasta is a tale of life, and I think you will find familiarity and commonality as you scroll through these pages.
