One Hundred Push-Ups: Pick up the Pace

by | Oct 30, 2011 | Blog | 0 comments

I have completed the preliminary period on my quest for 100 consecutive “man” push-ups.  I am able now to do 65 continuous push-ups at the counter level and about 20 “girl” push-ups.  As the first month of my “Countdown to 50” draws near, I look back and see how far I have come and I feel good.
On this Eve of Halloween, we have carved the pumpkin and begun to roast the seeds. Candles are lite in all the scary faced containers and the kids costumes are laid out and ready to go.  I will be glad to get rid of the candy that has been calling my name these past few weeks. I swear I can smell that chocolate from under the counter, in a bag, individually wrapped and sealed! It is time for it to go!
Happy Halloween and safe travels.  It seems odd to place a lit jack-o-lantern on the porch after I have swept off the snow!  My grandmother said that ever since the astonauts went up to the moon, the weather has not been right.  “Maybe they broke something”, she would say.  Maybe she was right.

About Me

KarenHello and welcome.
I am often asked, “What is Pasta on the Floor?”
Pasta on the Floor is different for everyone. It is a recipe that tells a story and inspires them to try something new. For others, stories of family, joy, loss, and hope engage with them. This brings me a great deal of happiness. I do not take myself too seriously, so be forewarned the subject matter is open and truthful. In many ways, Pasta is a tale of life, and I think you will find familiarity and commonality as you scroll through these pages.
