Happy Easter; we did it!

I made it. I counted every last day and without a snitch of chocolate I indulged this morning at 7:48 AM with a solid chocolate bunny. (I shared with my wonderful husband who had endured this side-by-side with me throughout Lent).
I apologize for not commenting these last few days.  I seem to have fallen ill with strep throat and have been out of commission.  Let me just say that for all you parents, who like me, have told your kids to “suck it up and go to school; you’re fine”, It hurts like hell. I could not eat, drink or swallow anything.  I had no idea it was like this.  I got a flu shot last fall and could not move that arm for 2 days. Once again, bad mother behavior #22: admit when you are wrong about something and tell your kids.
Well these meds have made me tired and not feeling like much but I am going to muster up a beautiful lasagna and focaccia for dinner.  I will direct the chefs in training on how to compile perfect lasagna. Have a super day and chocolate bunnies beware:  I will feel better soon.

About Me

KarenHello and welcome.
I am often asked, “What is Pasta on the Floor?”
Pasta on the Floor is different for everyone. It is a recipe that tells a story and inspires them to try something new. For others, stories of family, joy, loss, and hope engage with them. This brings me a great deal of happiness. I do not take myself too seriously, so be forewarned the subject matter is open and truthful. In many ways, Pasta is a tale of life, and I think you will find familiarity and commonality as you scroll through these pages.
