Happy Easter Food Fest

by | Apr 8, 2012 | Blog | 0 comments

I smell chocolate chip muffins and egg and cheese frittatas cooking in my kitchen. On tap for the day I have a cheese platter generously provided by my sister Amy, and a fruit basket, with of course, chocolate in it as a gift from Chip.

Lent is over and the sacrifice of giving up something you crave/love is over.  I have been doing this since I was a kid and it is a lesson is discipline.  The purpose, of course, is to teach people of the sacrifice of the Lenten season.  I think it does that.  I think the acts of doing something good for someone else is better.  That type of action will make us better as a society, I hope.

Now, you’d think without all that chocolate and cheese I would be a rail by now. Mmmmm, not so much but I do feel better.  I would like to think after the gluttony of today’s feast I would revert back to my Lenten mindset but most likely not.  I will just need to step up the efforts in Zumba with Judy today to bank some calorie burn for the day’s feast.

Happy Easter and Passover too.  The time is now and with Spring around the corner to clean not only our homes but our hearts and minds too.  And a little chocolate can never hurt.

About Me

KarenHello and welcome.
I am often asked, “What is Pasta on the Floor?”
Pasta on the Floor is different for everyone. It is a recipe that tells a story and inspires them to try something new. For others, stories of family, joy, loss, and hope engage with them. This brings me a great deal of happiness. I do not take myself too seriously, so be forewarned the subject matter is open and truthful. In many ways, Pasta is a tale of life, and I think you will find familiarity and commonality as you scroll through these pages.
