When the weather gets cooler, it’s time to take your weekend cocktails up a notch. I love Prosecco and that is no secret but adding a little of your homemade Fig & Fennel Vodka makes it fall-like and sublime!

  • 1 small fennel bulb, thinly sliced

Options for add-in’s:

  • Whole vanilla bean or a drop or two of pure vanilla extract

  • One teaspoon of pure honey

What to do:

In an airtight container, combine the vodka, dried figs, and fennel. Add any additional options as well; cover and refrigerate for a week.

Strain the infused vodka through a very fine strainer into a pitcher. It may take a time or two to get the vodka ‘clear.’

Enjoy this phenomenal elixir.  Here are some options to get you started!

Possible bartending combos:

Straight up! Divide the vodka among 6 to 8 ice-filled rocks glasses. Garnish each drink with half a fresh fig. If you used Rosemary sprigs, add one to the glass before serving.

Sheer Perfection Martini: 2 oz. Fig & Fennel Vodka, 1/2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur, and a healthy pour of Prosecco. You can garnish with a fresh fig or lemon slice.

F&F Martini: 2 oz. Fig & Fennel Vodka, 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth. Stop at this point, shake with crushed ice, and serve. NOTE: you can add 1 oz. of your juice of choice, shake and serve.

Happy yet? You will be soon.

About Me

KarenHello and welcome.
I am often asked, “What is Pasta on the Floor?”
Pasta on the Floor is different for everyone. It is a recipe that tells a story and inspires them to try something new. For others, stories of family, joy, loss, and hope engage with them. This brings me a great deal of happiness. I do not take myself too seriously, so be forewarned the subject matter is open and truthful. In many ways, Pasta is a tale of life, and I think you will find familiarity and commonality as you scroll through these pages.
